The University of California Education Abroad Program
Rome Study Center
About UC in Rome
The EAP Rome Study Center was inaugurated in August of 2002. The
Study Center is located in the historic center of Rome, just steps
away from Piazza Navona and the Sacred Area of Largo di Argentina.
Admission is open to undergraduate students from all UC campuses
and offers upper division courses in English, as well as intensive
Italian language. For more information on admissions please
visit the UC Education Abroad Program website. Courses focus
on the history, arts, and sociology of Rome. An intensive three-week
Italian language course begins the semester and students are required
to take an additional Italian language course during the term. The
intensive portion must be taken for a letter grade. EAP students
are required to take a full-time course of study while studying
in Rome. Students may choose to live in privately-owned apartments, with Italian families in "home-stays," or in a facility near the Vatican City where students will live with other UC students.
At the EAP Rome Study Center, UC is in a partnership with ACCENT
International. Please click here
for the study center contact information (username and password
required).
